Statement of the Association of Private Colleges of Georgia
The Association of Private Colleges of Georgia positively evaluates the information that, within the framework of the 2026 Unified National Examinations, applicants will be given the opportunity to select up to three vocational colleges and vocational education programs in addition to higher education institutions.
This initiative fully aligns with the vision that the Association has actively supported and advocated for over the years — the recognition of vocational education as a достой, equal, and outcome-oriented alternative for continuing education after school. Such an approach provides young people with a wider range of choices, better matches their individual interests and abilities, and at the same time responds to real labor market demands.
Although the specific procedures for registration and enrollment are still being clarified at this stage, the concept of the initiative is clearly progressive and represents an important step forward in the development of the vocational education system.
Private colleges in Georgia express full readiness to offer interested young people labor market–driven, work-oriented, and high-quality vocational education programs, which will significantly support both their rapid and sustainable employment and their opportunities to continue education at the next levels.
