Important Information for Graduates of the Nursing Education Program at Marneuli College
A unified state registry for nurses and midwives has been introduced in Georgia, as defined by the Law on Health Care. This system ensures the creation of a complete and unified database of professionals in this field through the issuance of a state certificate and a registration document.
Starting from January 26, 2026, registration in the registry and possession of the relevant state certificate are mandatory for all practicing nurses and midwives who plan to start or continue their professional activities.
The registration process is carried out electronically through a dedicated platform, and the submitted data is processed by the relevant agency. Since the right to practice depends on the completeness of the submitted documentation, the college urges graduates to complete their registration on time and not delay the process.
From July 1, 2027, practicing as a nurse or midwife without registration will be prohibited by law.
Registration ensures:
X Legal right to practice professionally
X Official confirmation of status
X Career and legal protection
X Opportunities for continuous professional development
