n November 4th of this year, the Memory Café visited Marneuli College as part of the Dementia Friends awareness-raising meetings.
At the initiative of the college representative, a meeting was held with students, teachers, and administrative staff.
During the meeting, the audience received information on:

the characteristics and symptoms of dementia;
-
ways of communicating with people living with dementia;
-
the current situation in the country;
-
and the actions needed to create a more dementia-friendly environment.
At the end of the meeting, each participant made a dementia-friendly pledge, encouraging similar actions in the future.
Participants also shared questions and personal experiences related to interacting with people living with dementia.
Based on the positive feedback received, the Memory Café and Marneuli College will continue their collaboration in the future to further promote dementia awareness across the regions of Georgia.
