On September 26 of this year, a seminar was held at the Marneuli College as part of an informational and educational campaign on HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis. The event was organized by the sub-contractor organization "Georgian Foundation for Health Promotion and Education" under the contractor "Georgian Health Federation," in collaboration with the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC).
The seminar was led by Professor Giorgi Bakhturidze, an expert from the Foundation, who provided students and teachers with detailed information on the transmission, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of tuberculosis.
The presentation on HIV/AIDS was delivered by Nino Chkhetiani, Head of Programs at the Foundation and a Master of Public Health.
The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness and improve knowledge about HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis, to change negative and incorrect perceptions, to increase motivation for testing, and to promote positive changes in attitudes and reduce stigma.
The campaign is supported by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
We express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Giorgi and Ms. Nino for their engaging and valuable lectures.
